—————————— ✦ ——————————

Extroverted and sociable; this tall, fluffy, and cordial miqo'te spends his days experiencing life for all it has to offer; even if he doesn't reveal much about himself. Despite this hesitancy to be an open book, he's not demanding—kindly offering an open ear and a place for others to talk about their troubles and worries instead of listening to him ramble on.A thoughtful wanderer, healer, defender, and occasional guide with a strong distaste for nobility: this strange man is forever altered by a touch of something unnatural...

Biography

Xavi'ir spent the majority of his childhood with only his family, and was forced to grow up far too prematurely. Sixth born of eleven siblings, he learned how to socialize and get by with his personality and words from early on. Sensible, extroverted, and composed, Xavi'ir carries himself with grace and patience. He cares for people openly, speaking fondly and gently. He always wishes to be a warm presence.Yet while anyone can see Xavi'ir is approachable and gracious, he hides a great deal about himself. Beneath his outer layers is a more uncertain and troubled heart—with an abundance of avoidance for those prying. Xavi'ir dodges questions without a second thought, brushing them off. He isn't secret about this fact, but those around him know that he's inflexible about it at all costs, sometimes infuriatingly so.Deeper still is a man yearning for understanding and acceptance. One moment, he handles a crowd with ease. The next, he shies away from even the simplest talk. Despite his avoidance, Xavi'ir wants to be close... but he cannot bring himself to speak the words that would let him.Xavi'ir holds many secrets, but there is a more notable one than any other: something he only shares in the most dire and deadly of circumstances.

RP

Origins

Though Xavi'ir's time as an adventurer has lead him to all sorts of places, he has never lost that natural drive to meet new people, to make more connections. Though his heart and roots are located firmly at home, he enjoys new experiences and likes to get to know the people around him eagerly. If they're friendly with him too? All the better. He spends most of his time alone despite this, and is often delighted for the consistent company of comrades. Whenever Xavi'ir is caught in quiet moments, the cheerful facade drops for something much more melancholy. He is quieter, slower, and much more pensive. Both sides are equally him, but the open honesty is much harder to display to others, even close friends.Even if they support him wholeheartedly, the grips of his past and the lasting impacts of it make him hesitate. Xavi'ir is almost always happy to talk, and has secrets worth revealing. A stalwart man to call your friend, his loyalty is hard won but most often forever earned. If you want to learn them; be prepared to wait, or attempt to pry them out purposefully.

Starting

  • His open nature makes him quite nosy and eager to approach. Xavi'ir is eager to assist, chat, intervene... or gossip and share tales.

  • The aether within this keeper is simultaneously teeming with light and dark. Do you sense his unnatural healing prowess? The lingers of           ?           that have touched him?

  • Xavi'ir's roots go deeply in many different directions. Do you have history, a homeland, live nearby, or more?

  • ... Maybe even something else?

I only typically RP with friends & those I know. That being said, please feel free to reach out and chat! I am shy OOC, but still happy to talk, and I appreciate people talking to me!

  • 21+ only for OOC/muses behind the character.

  • I do not tolerate ANY racism directed towards my OC, even if your character's views do not reflect yours. Zero tolerance. I am not a PoC, I will not "explore" it even if you say it's 'canon'.

  • Likewise, no transphobia, fatphobia, homophobia, etc.

  • I do not usually do RP involving majorly darker topics, and may not be okay with specific subjects. Thank you.

Further About

I began my life as nothing. I was a nothing that believed my purpose was only for other people. I have been touched by grief and despair in equal measure. Yet I still place my hopes in love and the goodness that life brings us. I do not rebuke a jaded soul for their anger or their grief, but it is not mine. ❞-BIOGRAPHY. Though he spends most of his time as a healer, Xavi'ir also wanders the world as a dark knight and a dancer. He has a few non-combat oriented skills, and tends to prefer exploring and discovering new people and experiences. He holds a strong love for people, and a hope for people as a whole that persists even in the face of despair.Xavi'ir is passionate, extroverted, and purposefully a very caring, loving person. He is emotionally intelligent and incredibly patient. He hides much about his past, but never his care and appreciation for those around him. He becomes quiet and serious when put under pressure, but is overall more of a follower than a leader. In his worst moments he can be a bit judgemental, though he often keeps quiet about this. He's hesitant to share his thoughts sometimes, but all will come out with time. While Xavi'ir seems fairly cheerful and content most times—especially around other people—catching him alone is your best bet at seeing a rarely shown quiet, introspective, and vulnerable side to him, where the more performative social mask falls off to show his more quiet and vulnerable side.WEAKNESSES. Xavi'ir detests combat with fists, and the fastest way to gain an advantage over him is to discard his melee weapons or find a way to disable his magic/drain his aether. Xavi'ir is also far too susceptible to self-criticism, often veering into self-deprecation if not kept in check. Other general dislikes include a fear of thunder and lightning, and a big weakness to sudden, loud noises. His history with being sheltered makes him quite unaware of social graces. And while Xavi'ir tries his best to always act polite and respectful, he panics when put in situations he doesn't know exactly how to react to.RELATIONSHIPS. Xavi'ir is open to flirting, either being the one to initiate or being flirted with. He generally tends to prefer unique men, those who do not meet typical standards. For platonic relationships or friendships; he likes unique people. He enjoys making friends whenever he can, and is very social with making new ones.Family is a complex matter, one better left unsaid until he is ready to divulge. All that can be said is he grew up in a large one, that he looks after small children very well, and his relationships to them are likely very rocky.QUIRKS. Xavi'ir enjoys spending most of his time keeping his hands busy. He likes to do things, especially if they relate to practices like herbalism or poultice making. He has an eye for weaving as well, and enjoys plant cultivation and gardening quite a lot. He also enjoys dressing himself up, especially in very non-conforming beautiful attire. It's his biggest indulgence as someone who grew up poor.Xavi'ir, most notably, does not hide his extreme distaste for nobility and other concepts like it (class systems, royalty, etc). While he can enjoy fancy things, he looks down incredibly hard on those that are greedy at the expense of others, those that seek to uphold them. He will begrudgingly get along with someone who is rich, but do not expect the icy disposition to thaw quickly unless they prove themselves to him.He can also be flirty if he wants to be with men he likes, and is fine with being both the one flirted with OR the one to flirt. He respects boundaries and others' comfort as his biggest priority, and loves to dote on and do things for them - mostly on the physical side, such as acts of service and handmade gifts.JOBS. Most known for his healing prowess, in universes where he is not the warrior of light, he limits himself to his healing job, a slight mix of conjury, white magic, and astrologian arts - which he calls a Lunar Mystic. It's a carefully honed skill over many years, one that he is proud of. Dancing is his other talent, carefully practiced over many years. His only soul crystal as a non-WoL is that of a dark knight.

M'rinha Akhabila (Rinha) ♥

Relationship: Married
Rinha is someone whom Xavi'ir loves with his entire heart. His husband, and his bonded for life.
In the early years of their journey, the two looked after each other despite keeping their distance. As it melted away M'rinha and Xavi'ir found out much about each other. Falling in love was a complicated process with two people who run away from their own problems, but they found a way. Even when it was discovered M'rinha was quite well off, their trust was so explicitly in place that Xavi'ir found him the only exception. After all the tragedy of his beloved endured, he and his family deserved peace.M'rinha expresses himself mostly in facial expressions, mrrps, purrs, and short sentences; while Xavi'ir is often painfully verbose and wordy. While Xavi'ir is massive for a miqo'te, M'rinha is quite short. Xavi'ir feels like the moon, and M'rinha the sun. The two are opposites, and yet so alike. M'rinha and Xavi'ir are insufferably affectionate and cute together, and Xavi'ir is fond of spoiling him in his unique ways. In turn, Rinha is determined to shower Xavi'ir with gifts and love in turn. They can mostly be found spending time adventuring together, visiting Rinha's family, or spending time at their homes.

Y'XHULA TIA

Relationship: Close friend & confidant
Comrades who fight together, and spend their time relaxing. Known for their mutual fluffy tails.
Y'xhula and Xavi'ir came to be friends during their respective journeys, a social butterfly and a more quiet wall-flower. They stifle their emotions for the sake of others equally, though together they seem to be improving thanks to their mutual care for each other. Xavi'ir was able to support him during his worst times, and Y'xhula encouraged Xavi'ir to open up about himself—sometimes using that same harshness that surfaced from grief. Y'xhula and Xavi'ir have faced similar challenges, and came to be quite close over the years of trauma. When it comes to their current relationship, they spend their time casually. Y'xhula is someone Xavi'ir feels he can be himself around without any restraint.

Mhira Freyja

Relationship: Close friend
Fast friends who deal with their rich husbands, Mhira is someone Xavi'ir can relax around.
Meeting long before Mhira introduced him to Kuroji on the outskirts of his sheltered home, the two became friends during their time in the shroud. Though Mhira was gone by the time Xavi'ir ventured to the shroud, they reunited after. While he assisted in helping Xavi'ir warm up to Kuroji, the two have more in common. Growing up struggling, a love of healing-and all things pretty attire too. Xavi'ir hopes to help him as best as he can, but trusts Kuroji to do a good job of it. Even before he came to trust him again, he knows very well that Mhira is a force to be reckoned with. During their downtime they gossip, teasing Mhira's husband, and more. The commoners wich rich husbands have to stay together, don't they?

KUROJI FREYJA

Relationship: Ex one-sided antagonistic, now friends
Despite all that comes with nobility, Kuro is someone Xavi'ir considers a wonderful friend.
Xavi'ir does not get along well with nobility. When his past was revealed, the miqo'te turned his back on Kuroji for a long time. He stayed around to keep an eye on him, and though Kuroji did not choose this life, Xavi'ir nonetheless looks down on those born with everything. During this time, Xavi'ir found his icy exterior easing. The two managed to build up their trust again, and often spend time together relaxing. A typical guest around the Freyja manor, Xavi'ir is invested in researching all he can about the information the archives hold. Xavi'ir is fond of teasing him for his brooding, despite the hypocrisy, but wants him to succeed. Trust that is hard-earned is not quickly lost.

Character Name

Relationship: Short descriptor
A slightly longer summary of their current standing with their current relationship dynamic.
A medium length paragraph about their relationship as it currently stands.

An extroverted, thoughtful, and diligent princely miqo'te healer and protector hailing formerly from the Black Shroud area—but has since taken up to wandering to better understand the world. Most often seen on the road. Available to aid in any adventuring or exploring, as a guide, or even just a friendly soul to spend some time with. Xavi'ir is happy to help.

— 1. FAMILY LIFE.Born near Limsa Lominsa, his mother Misi's family were immigrants from eastern Yanxia, and Caza'to, his father, was a runaway and a child of Dravanian hunters. Xavi'ir's mother and father fell in love incredibly fast after she saved him from death, and within a year they were expecting their first child. Misi was a quiet and inexorable woman, brilliant yet hesitant to open up. Caza'to was a warm and rebellious man, kind but sometimes a bit too indecisive. When Xavi'ir was born, he was the 6th and youngest child. Their children were given unique prefixes to give them a better sense of self, and also because of Caza'to's own family history.Growing up incredibly poor, Xavi'ir's family spent most of their time barely scraping by. Most days they struggled without food or gil, and barely kept afloat. In a sudden decision, their nomadic family decided to migrate towards the area of the Black Shroud. They had never stepped foot into the cities properly, and it seems that would continue.During this time, Misi started to show early signs of isolationism and her own paranoia driving a wedge between her and others.— 2. A PARENTAL FIGURE TOO YOUNG.Just as they entered into the Shroud area, the next siblings after Xavi'ir were born: twin sisters Lillai and Meili. In total, an 11 year gap exists between him and his baby sisters. As soon as they were born, Xavi'ir was instructed to raise them himself. Misi would focus on training the eldest daughter to lead the family, and would withdraw into a small abandoned home, abandoning their nomadic ways. For the next three siblings, and many of his younger cousins, Xavi'ir would almost entirely raise a total of 8 children from the time he was 11 until 26.Xavi'ir had gained a reputation in his family as considerate, patient, and incredibly selfless. While his siblings, aunts, mother and grandmother were always busy with tasks such as training; Xavi'ir was deemed too weak for combat—assumed to be too weak and troublesome to train—and focused on herbalism and healing. This deprived of him of any proper childhood. Forced to grow up too fast, Xavi'ir grew to be overly deferring, and lost his place in the world amidst a haze of too-selfless kindness. Even when their mother made a decision that he disapproved of, he would never speak out against it. In his eyes, they knew best.— 3. UPHEAVEL.
Xavi'ir's older brother Ralev'to and his older sister Liu were Xavi'ir's closest family members, aside from his father and the siblings he himself raised. Ral and Liu were the two that most often helped Xavi'ir with their younger siblings and other tasks. Despite his forced care for them, Xavi'ir held no malice towards his younger siblings.
Over the years, Misi grew more and more paranoid. She barred her children from leaving the proximity of their home, forbade anyone but her, other adults, and their eldest child from entering into Gridania. After a time, fueled by paranoia she announced they would never leave. All her children were barred from a life of their own as she despondently insisted they were safer at home. While Xavi'ir was accepting of circumstances, Ral was rebellious and defiant. He had suffered years of mistreatment, consistent assumptions that he was nothing but a problem and a hindrance to their family. As he blew up at her and his older sister Zesa, the wedge between him and the others not associated with him—the children, Xavi'ir, Liu, and their father, grew more.A few weeks later, Ral ran away from home. He left only a letter behind to Xavi'ir saying that despite his acceptance of their mother's choises, he was proud of Xavi, saying that he knew he was strong enough to find the courage to be his own person someday. For his remaining years at home, Xavi'ir would start to think about leaving more and more.

Born in the proximity of Limsa Lominsa, the Valro family were nomads that wandered the coastline hunting and living off of the lands to make ends meet. Xavi'ir was the 6th born, at one point the youngest child in the lineup of his siblings. His mother Misi and father Caza'to married incredibly fast into their partnership, just shy under a year into knowing each other. Misi was a stern, quiet, and inexorable yet brilliant woman who never quite knew how to open up properly. Caza'to was a warm, fleeting, and amiable man with a rather flippant attitude who had run away from his family in Dravania many years ago. It was Misi's idea, in fact, to give their sons unique prefixes so as to give them their own names on behalf of her husband.
Xavi'ir was an incredibly soft-hearted nad gentle yet gullible child. Even at a young age, Misi's very rigid thinking never let how she viewed her children change too much, even as they grew and developed before her eyes. This thinking of hers often lead her to relying on Xavi'ir's open kindness far too much, and he was raised as a deferential boy who would never cause problems or make a fuss.As Xavi'ir was growing up, his family's Gil and expenses were stretched far too thin with as many children as there were, not to mention the aunts and many other family members that traveled with their main family. Even the men-uncles and Xavi'ir's father-that did not stay with them for the full time were often struggling just the same. They starved quite often, and had little more than a single covered wagon and some tents to their name. Threats from avoiding or dealing with monsters, brigands, and pirates stretched these resources even smaller. When Xavi'ir was 11 summers old, the family decided to abandon the coastline of Limsa Lominsa and head deeper into the continent. It was also on this night that Xavi'ir's twin baby sisters Lillai and Meili were born. As soon as they were cleaned and swaddled, Misi called Xavi'ir over to her bedside and passed his two sisters into his arms."You will be the one to raise them, as I take charge of our family, and prepare your sister Zesa to lead in turn." Thus, Xavi'ir became the guardian and parental figure to his baby sisters at only 11 years old. He would stay that way until the month he turned 26.

Instead of wandering Limsa, his family would quietly reside in the forests of the Black Shroud. They settled without the approval of the elementals, but thankfully avoided trouble thanks to their experience avoiding conflict on the coast. As more of his younger siblings of his were born, Misi handed them all to Xavi'ir for him to raise full time. Deprived of any sort of solid childhood, Xavi'ir was forced to mature extremely fast in order to take proper care of them. The few that provided help were his father, his older sister and fourth born Liu, the second born and older brother Ralev'to. Even his grandmother Gahnu neglected to assist, and instead focused on teaching him about herbs and medicine to help fill a role needed in the family. Likewise, when his aunt Kavemi also had children, she mostly left Xavi'ir to look after them as well.Because of his time being spent learning how to help heal and raising his siblings, Xavi'ir was completely overlooked when it came to defensive or martial training. The few times he attempted it, they considered him a lost cause, and neglected to even consider trying to teach him further. So used to simply going along with that they desired of him, Xavi'ir did not complain or raise a fuss. He was deferential to a fault, not believing himself to be worth the effort either. He was utterly convinced, and was even lead to believe by certain family--that he truly had little value or worth outside of his ability to be kind or take care of others. (This was untrue, but he wouldn't conceive of that for a long time.)As the ninth child was born, Misi declared that they would no longer be nomadic, and would instead settle into a ruined old wooden home deep within the forest. No one would leave ever again. Even Ralev'to and Xavi'ir would not be joining their father and uncles, who were still permitted to remain outside of the family, and spent their time apart hunting for the women and children.Ralev'to, or 'Ral', was outraged. Mistreated all his life, he more than anyone else wished to leave. But here he was, suddenly trapped for seemingly the rest of his life. Just as Xavi'ir had been labeled the 'obedient' or 'subservient' child, Ral was branded a problem who would never improve nor mature. In the eyes of their mother Misi especially, he was loud, arrogant and too much of a problem. Ral was blamed for things he did not do simply by being there, even when he wasn't at fault. His relationship to their mother and the other adults save their father had almost always been tense, but this was a breaking point. Their father Caza'to, having fled an abusive family to settle in Limsa Lominsa, finds himself stuck in a state of denial. Trying desperately to restore his family he loved so dearly, but being unable to truly challenge any disputes that came up. Even on days he felt he could, Caza'to was ordered to leave by Misi before he got too comfortable, meaning he could never stay around for too long. After some incredibly tense fights, Ralev'to was all but ostracized. The only people that would truly talk to him were Xavi'ir, the siblings he looked after, Liu, and their fathers and uncles who traveled outside of the main home. He was always protective of that group in particular, and often got into fights on their behalf. Xavi'ir did not blame him in the slightest, and even as mistreated as he was, Ralev'to never lashed out or blamed Xavi'ir for going with Misi's orders. He was older, and even though most of their family was largely sheltered, he still knew that it wasn't his fault for being raised to be this way.One night, Ralevto decided to run away from home for good. He was caught in the middle of the night by Xavi'ir and Caza'to, who said their farewells and avidly (but still sadly) let him go. Caza'to was the only one to know where Ral went to prevent any of the family from prying the information out of Xavi'ir, just in case they chased after him. The morning after he left, they were crushed to learn that apart from those that got along with him, no one truly missed Ral's absence. From then on, the rest refused to even speak about him.Ralevto left Xavi'ir with a few parting words, and notably talked with him about how he wanted Xavi'ir to finally recognize his own strengths and capability to grow. Ral saw in his younger brother what Xavi'ir did not see in himself. Ral wished for him to finally live a life all his own, instead of ignoring his own life and feelings. No matter how kind he was. Then, he was gone. That night planted the seeds for the eventual growing desire in Xavi'ir's heart to see the world, to experience what he had never been able to before. It kindled the wanderlust that was already there, from long nights spent reading books they chanced to come across or afford to stories told to him by other travelers they'd met before. It kindled a desire to truly learn who he actually was.He had a long talk with his father shortly after, and laid everything out in full after years of bottling it up. All his self-hatred, his feelings of inadequacy and neglect.A few months later, after putting all his younger siblings to bed - whispering to them as they fell asleep that he would always love them - Xavi'ir made up his mind. He got up in the middle of the night gathered his supplies, and penned a letter announcing that he
was leaving to find himself.
It was a long and lengthy letter, filled with a direct desire to see his mother finally improve and be the kind of person he always subconsciously wanted her to be. He met with his father, gave him a copy to read out in case the first was not shown to the others, and left his home for the first time in 15 years. Thus, he begins his journey to Gridania, to study in the Conjurer's guild.

Xavi'īr's story from here on changes depending on if he is the Warrior of Light or not. He is MY canon WoL, but I am perfectly okay to RP him as a more plain adventurer, or as the WoL. Both are okay with me! All you need to do is ask.Xavi'ir's age range in his biography is based on how far along in his story/the game's story he is. At minimum his age is at 27, at around the end of ARR as a time-frame, even if he is not involved with any WoL's or not one himself. 32 is around the end of EW.The older he gets, the further into his personal development he is. Which means Xavi is also more confident, stronger, more selfish (in an entirely complimentary way, seeing as how he was far too selfless before), and generally more experienced... but also fairly more jaded. Any sort of timeline also works with me as well!

Canon lore facts (Wol or not) is;— Xavi'ir will always become his canon jobs, WHM, DRK & DNC, in that order. He picks up more only if he is the WoL.
— Xavi'ir will always take up a small residency in Ishgard, and it will become his home.
— Xavi'ir will always reunite with his brother Ralev'to sometime around when Stormblood takes place, who has taken up the Axe and is a warrior for hire operating out of Lominsa. Where is easily modified, but usually it is in Ala Mhigo.
— Xavi'ir will always be hesitant and reluctant to talk about his past
— Nevertheless, Xavi'ir's journeys will slowly teach him his own worth and how brilliant of a person he is, even when he is not actively being overly selfless and ignoring his own needs or wishes. No matter what, he has his happy ending.
